Flying Rods Strange But True what are they??

I was watching a tv program the other night, about this new discovery Flying Rods, strange creatures that surround us but can not be seen with the naked eye strange but true.
Click on the video links below to see the evidence.
Just what are these things, described as flying rods? Your guess is as good as mine, however in my personal opinion, they represent possibly the best evidence of alien life to date, or at the least, an exotic new form of life often described as sky fish, due to the undulating motion in which they travel. Rods were discovered accidentally by film maker Jose Escamilla in 1994, while filming in Midway, New Mexico. These “things” move much to quickly to be seen with the naked eye, but they can be captured on film and seen when the film is played back in slow motion. They appear to have appendages along their torsos which move in wave like motion, and the torsos bend as they move. Measuring from inches to several feet in length, flying rods have been observed and filmed all over the world.
The rods appear to show some type of intelligence, as they will often dodge things that they would otherwise collide with. I personally cannot say I have seen rods, or taken footage of them. However, there was a day during this past summer where I was lying on my back at the beach where every so often I would “see” things flying over at extremely high velocities. At any other time I would just dismiss such instances as bugs flying past, or abberations in my vision, or any number of possible optical distortions that could occur, except that when I pointed them out to my friend, she saw them also. They could only be described as blurs crossing the sky, almost too quickly to be seen. I am not sure what we saw that day, but I only became aware of the blurs because I have been researching this phenomenon for quite awhile now. I have heard skeptics claim that the rods are nothing more than bugs or birds flying very close to the lens of the camera taking the picture, and that may well be true in some cases. But what Jose filmed that day at the cave, and alot of what others have filmed all over the Earth — No Way!

Where do the rods come from? Are they indigeneous to the planet Earth? I dont believe they are. The fact that they are so different from any other indigeneous lifeforms on the Earth lead me to believe that they may well be extraterrestrial. We are use to seeing aliens as being portrayed as two legged, two armed, two eyed human like beings. But the truth of the matter is, and again this is only my opinion, truly alien life should in my estimation be, well…. alien! Are they intelligent, are they probes of some kind? I cant speculate that far.
The fact remains that no “dead” rods have ever been found. This leads me to believe that they are not from this planet. Of course there are those who theorize that the bodies disintegrate before reaching the ground. Who can say? To say the least, rods are a fascinating enigma. I have even heard of purported prehistoric cave paintings of rods. I will have to look into that further, as far as I am aware cavemen did not have camcorders in those days, so I would wonder about what they were truly drawing. Whatever rods are we may only wonder at for now, until they day that one of them can be studied closely.

Dual-display e-book reader acts like a real book

Original Source:http://gadgets.infoniac.com/dual-display-e-book-reader-acts-like-a-real-book.html
Such e-book readers, as the Kindle, are modernized and become more and more comfortable to use. Unfortunately, they are still used less often than usual paper books.

While working with this gadget sometimes we need to compare different pages of a document, but using e-book reader we can’t turn or flip through pages.

This inconvenience made the researches upgrade their devices. That is why US scientists have decided there were still a lot of things to develop and modernize. Thus, we got the following result: you can turn and compare different pages via the newest gadget that features two displays.

The device imitates turning pages. It means you have the possibility to open two leaves or even separate them.

The tests have been made successfully, but the researches have finally decided that if the gadget was lighter it would be better. So, we are waiting for the next device that is going to be thinner and lighter.

“WiFi radio has pretty much unfailingly good reception because it does not rely on interruptions from transmitters” Daily Express Jan’08

MORE ABOUT INTERNET RADIO:

These day’s virtually all radio stations broadcast their programmes live over the Internet. Traditionally you have had to use your home PC to listen in, which is not very convenient if you want to listen to the radio in a room that’s different to where you keep your computer! This BlueTinum radio player is one of a small number of Internet radios available on the market today. It works by picking up the wireless Internet signal sent from your wireless router (the same way your wireless PC or Laptop works - the first time you use it you will be prompted to enter the wireless router password/phrase which is then remembered for future use). Once you’re connected to the Internet simply select your choice of radio station and begin listening to the News in India, music from Brazil, comedy in America etc etc etc! Broadcasts are ‘live’ (just as they are in DAB or FM) and interference is non-existent as you’re not relying on an outside transmitter (remember – all it needs is your wireless Internet signal). Internet simply gives you huge choice and endless hours of fun searching the airways for your favourite new channel.

Wi-fi Radio is broadcast over the Internet so interference is pretty much non-existent (unlike FM and DAB which relies on transmitters).

DAB / FM:

This radio will also play DAB and FM Radio should you move it to an area that does not have a wireless broadband Internet connection (for example a caravan, boat, second home etc). Key DAB features include clear digital audio broadcast; wider choice of domestic terrestrial stations than FM, scrolling station text information. For the traditionalist (!) it also has an FM receiver with all the usual FM stations available.

Music Streaming – what is this?

With your PC (or Mac) switched on, the BTH1606 uses the wireless network Internet connection to ‘stream’ (play) music from your PC – listen to your iTunes / digitised CD collection from you PC through the radio! So you can have the wireless broadband router in one room – say the living room, your PC upstairs in the bedroom, the radio in the kitchen and listen to the music that’s saved on the PC via the Radio (for this to work you obviously need your computer switched on!)

DAB+

A further development from the existing DAB radio platform, however there is currently no broadcaster using DAB+ in the UK. However, should broadcasters begin using DAB+ in the UK then the BlueTinum BTH1606 is able to receive it!

Guitar Hero: On Tour sells 300k in first week after US launch

Activision’s latest in the Guitar Hero series — Guitar Hero: On Tour — has sold 300,000 copies in its first week of release in the US, putting it in the company’s top five best-selling launch titles.

Mike Griffith, president and CEO, Activision Publishing, was suitably gushy about the whole thing, saying “Guitar Hero is one of the most successful entertainment properties and continues to push the boundaries of innovation with Guitar Hero: On Tour.”

It’ll arrive in the UK on 18th July, priced at £39.99 which includes the Guitar Grip, so we can look forward to a late summer of people strumming and thrashing on public transport.

summer solstice at stonehenge

Some 30,000 people celebrated the summer solstice as dawn broke at Stonehenge in Wiltshire.

Druids, hippies and sun-worshippers were among those who gathered to watch the sun rise at the ancient stone circle at 0458 BST on the longest day.

Rainy conditions obscured the sunrise but the turnout was still the highest in five years.

Police said the event was peaceful, with 17 arrests overnight for public order offences.

As the dawn broke a cheer went up from revellers who gathered at the Heel stone - a pillar at the edge of the prehistoric monument.

It’s all about the feeling you get when the sun bursts through the stone
Stonehenge reveller ‘Cathbad’

Unemployed John Tarbuck, 33, from Bude, Cornwall, set up a small tent party next to his car.

“The best thing about Summer Solstice at the ‘henge is you get to meet loads of new people,” he said.

“All the people here at my tent party, I’ve never met before.”

Another man, dressed in a black hooded top, who gave his name as Cathbad, said: “It’s a beautiful experience. It’s about celebrating nature, life and what makes the world go round. “It’s a little bit too heavily organised, with too much intervention from the establishment, but I’ll keep coming back.

“It’s all about the feeling you get when the sun bursts through the stone.”

A spokeswoman for English Heritage, which runs the 5,000-year-old site, said the last time a turnout of 30,000 was achieved was in 2003.

“It’s been very wet and soggy,” she said. “Probably a few disappointed people, many streaming out before sunrise because it was so wet and cold.

“I don’t think it will discourage people from coming again. Quite a few people come every year and are quite hardy.”

New iPhone 3G: Better, faster, cheaper
3G iphone

The latest incarnation of Apple’s iconic iPhone

The long-awaited second-generation Apple iPhone promises faster downloads on the 3G network, GPS to help you get un-lost, and a more tempting price.

We’ll test the curvy iPhone 3G when it goes on sale on July 11, but our initial impression is that it may be a worthy upgrade.

It still has a stunning touchscreen and combines a phone, iPod, web browser and organiser in one device. But it now also makes browsing the internet less painfully slow, offers new software to download and double the battery life.

The 8GB iPhone 3G will be cheaper than the previous model at £99 on £30 mobile tariffs through mobile network O2 and for sale at Carphone Warehouse, and free on some more expensive tariffs.

Cook a roast in less than 30 minutes
LG Solar Cube

Halogen helps the Solar Cube cook

The LG SolarCube is a freestanding, all-in-one oven which is slightly bigger than a microwave but can be used as a convection oven, microwave and grill or to speed cook - and it uses halogen lights along with the other cooking elements.

LG claims the speed cook mode saves energy by cooking up to four-times faster, and produces nutritious meals due to the speed of cooking.

And indeed we witnessed the SolarCube impressively cook a roast chicken in less than 30 minutes - it smelled delicious while cooking and didn’t taste too bad either.
